How to add a post to our blog


  • Go to Chrome or the browser you normally use (e.g. Edge, Firefox) and enter (without quotes) 'AussomeStudyGroup.blogspot.com' and ENTER.   Once you've used or  entered the name, all you'll have to do is start typing Aussome and the blog  name will show on your browser.  Hit enter and you won't have to type the entire name each time.  You'll now be on the main page of our blog.  
  • Select 'NEW POST' from the top menu, right side.  This will take you to a page where you can create a post.  
  • Enter a title for your post (make sure you in fact do put a title (e.g. Meeting, Exhibit, etc.) on your post(s).  Otherwise, the default will be just a date.  You can now tab down to the section for typing your post!  Just like using word.  You can highlight, change color of letters, etc. using the menu under the title section.
  • If you want to add a picture to your post, tab to a new line, then click on the picture icon, which is to the right of the LINK tab.
  • You'll now be at a page to 'Add Images'  you can upload from your laptop or tablet.  You can also use google photo or upload direct from your phone.  You can select one at a time or multiple pictures to add to a post.  Click on the bottom 'add photo'.  You'll see the photos you upload will have a blue frame around the picture.  If you don't see the blue frame, just click on the photo, then 'Add Image' at the bottom.  Your picture is now inserted in your post. 
  • Blogger will occasionally be saving your work as you type but I usually click on the 'Save' icon (top right next to the red 'Publish' icon).
    Once you are happy with your post, click on the 'Label' and type what your post is about, e.g. Meeting, exhibit, etc.  Click on the red 'Publish' icon and your post will be created immediately.  
  • If you want your post to not be published for a day or week, whatever, click on the 'Schedule' icon and select a date/time.  You will now click on 'Publish' but the post won't appear until it meets your date/time you selected.  You don't need to use the bottom three icons for anything.  
  • If you don't want to publish your post and want to come back to work on it, just click on the 'Save' icon, then select the 'Close' icon.   When you want to finish your post, go to our main page and select 'DESIGN' instead of 'New Post'.  
    You're now back to the Blogger page that shows all the posts.  You'll see your post listed as 'draft'; you can now 'edit/view/delete' your post. Once you have finished (edit) your post, proceed to publish or save/close. 
  • If you want to verify your spelling, click on the 'abc' icon. 
  • Words misspelled will be highlighted in yellow;
  • move your cursor onto the yellow area on the word and click. Spelling choices will appear for you to select or 'ignore'.  

That's pretty much it!!!  It's really quite easy and you can't break anything!
